Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator oversees the movement, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring efficient and compliant supply chain operations.

• Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing transportation routes and modes to control costs and meet deadlines.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of crates, pallets, and supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve issues related to shipment delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies to minimize operational disruptions.
• Maintain logistics reports, track key performance metrics, and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency.
• Collaborate with shipping teams, customer service, and operations to ensure seamless supply chain activities.
• Utilize ERP systems and other software tools to manage logistics processes and inventory data accurately.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates and resolve logistics-related inquiries.

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing and logistics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with Acumatica or other cloud-based ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and details.
• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to write clear and concise reports, specifications, and correspondence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in various formats and resolve issues involving multiple variables.
