Job Summary
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator responsible for coordinating, tracking, and reporting various logistic activities including inter‑unit transfer orders (IUTs), Return Materials Authorization (RMAs), cycle counts, demurrage tracking, and other key processes assigned by the Logistics Manager. The Logistics Coordinator acts as a liaison between the Plant, Sales, Supply Planning, Transportation, and Customer Care teams.
Essential Duties- Ensure shipments are dispatched accurately and on time to meet service metrics, budget compliance, lane compliance, weight targets, and reliability goals.
- Work with the Fleet Group Leader to plan and manage fleet usage cost‑effectively.
- Collaborate within the Logistics Department, running reports to monitor shipping and warehouse operations.
- Communicate concerns and issues, working with the team to resolve them.
- Verify production inventory reporting and work with Customer Care to guarantee sufficient inventory for shipments.
- Run daily Negative Available to Promise (ATP) reports and communicate shortages to Customer Care and Distribution Planning.
- Assist with physical inventory counts, track and analyze cycle‑count performance, ensuring all products are counted at least once each quarter.
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cost and improve customer service.
- Cross‑train and serve as backup for the Dock Coordinator, Production Planner, and Traffic Coordinator as needed.
- Perform other duties and assignments as requested by the Logistics Manager.
- Track raw materials for the Production Planner and notify the team of late arrivals or shortages.
- Support the overall Logistics Department and act as backup for other positions within the department.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Three years of plant‑specific experience.
- Acquaintance with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS‑RF).
- Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and web‑based carrier point.
Base Salary Range: $48,006 – $66,009 (exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses). Individual compensation offers are determined based on location, experience, education, and qualifications.
