Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Salary: $28 P/H - 31 P/H + Bonuses
Day to DayWe are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in the Fort Worth area. This role is ideal for someone with transportation or logistics experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for truck shipments, managing inbound, outbound, intercompany, and return material orders.
- Receive, review, process, and generate traffic orders within the order management system.
- Coordinate with carriers, production teams, and customer service to ensure efficient shipment scheduling and delivery.
- Verify shipping destinations, trailer requirements, and communicate shipment details to carriers.
- Respond to customer and internal enquiries regarding order status, shipping schedules, freight costs, and delivery updates.
- Work closely with sales, production, purchasing, and accounting departments to support operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate traffic order records and ensure documentation is up to date.
- Provide support and cover for other Logistics Coordinators as required.
- Participate in daily and weekly team meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Assist with order fulfilment activities and other duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in transportation, logistics, or a similar role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage challenging situations professionally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of transportation processes and supply chain operations.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with ERP or order entry systems such as Oracle Net Suite is highly desirable.
- Experience with in the roadway safety or manufacturing industry is advantageous but not essential.
