Position: CDL Truck Driver (Delivery Specialist) – On-Call/Extra Board

CDL Truck Driver

HTeaO is seeking dependable, safety-focused CDL Truck Drivers to join our On-Call Extra Board team. This role provides critical delivery support for HTeaO franchise locations by covering scheduled route drivers, peak business periods, vacations, and operational needs.

This position is ideal for experienced CDL drivers who enjoy schedule flexibility while delivering exceptional service. Drivers are expected to operate independently, prioritize safety, maintain DOT compliance, and represent the HTeaO brand professionally.

Please note:

This is an on-call position with no guaranteed weekly hours. Work is assigned based on business demand.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Must have open availability to be willing to and able to pick-up and drive routes on short notice
  • Safely operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Deliver food products, beverages, and merchandise to HTeaO franchise locations while ensuring delivery accuracy.
  • Verify orders and document any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Perform DOT-compliant pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete all required documentation.
  • Load and unload freight safely using pallet jacks and other approved material handling equipment.
  • Accurately complete Electronic Logging Device (ELD) entries and required delivery paperwork.
  • Maintain regular communication with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery status.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company operating standards.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and reporting maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while interacting with franchise owners, store teams, and internal partners.
  • Represent the HTeaO brand with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first attitude.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL)
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited CDL training program preferred
  • Six months or more of commercial delivery driving experience preferred
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random DOT drug and alcohol screenings
  • Clean driving record with no DUI/DWI convictions within the past seven years
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and safe driving practices
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Schedule & Work Environment
  • On-call scheduling based on business demand
  • No guaranteed weekly hours
  • Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Routes may vary in length and destination
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, and reaching
  • Extended periods of sitting while driving commercial vehicles
  • Ability to safely load and unload freight throughout the workday
