At Melt Ice Creams, our Delivery & Logistics Team ensures every scoop shop and wholesale partner receives scratch-made ice cream exactly as it was crafted — frozen solid, properly packaged, and on time.
This position combines route driving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and warehouse logistics in a food production environment. This is a high-trust, detail-driven, and independent role that protects product quality, operational efficiency, and the MELT brand.
Position:Delivery Driver & Warehouse Associate
Location: 685 John B Sias Memorial Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76134
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time (20–35 hours/week)
Availability: Monday–Friday, 7am–2/4pm (hours may vary by season). Occasional weekends required March–September.
Compensation: $16–17/hour
What You’ll ProtectEvery day, you help ensure:
- Scoop shops are fully stocked and retail-ready
- Wholesale clients receive accurate, timely orders
- Scratch-made ice cream boxes, pints, sammie and pops remains frozen and properly handled
- Inventory is accounted for and organized
- The MELT brand maintains consistency across all locations because our product is well protected and delivered up to MELT standards
You are the final quality checkpoint before product reaches our Scoop Shops.
What You’ll DoExecute Reliable Deliveries
- Pick, pull, and verify internal and external orders using Pick/Order Sheets
- Verify flavors, quantities, packaging, and labeling before departure
- Load, unload, and transport frozen product safely
- Deliver to MELT Scoop Shops and wholesale clients across DFW
- Follow daily opening/closing checklists, order checklists, and weekly checklists to MELT standards
- Obtain delivery confirmations and complete required documentation
- Monitor freezer temperatures during transport
- Follow FIFO and proper product rotation procedures both when picking an order and when delivering to a freezer in a Scoop Shop
- Ensure all product is handled according to MELT food safety standards
- Report discrepancies or product concerns immediately
- Receive and account for incoming inventory
- Rotate and restock dry goods, raw ingredients, and finished products
- Restock packaging and supply materials up to par levels
- Assist with weekly and monthly inventory counts and checklists as required
- Operate a powered pallet jack after safety course is completed
- Maintain organized and clean freezer, warehouse, and storage areas
- Responsible for daily and weekly vehicle maintenance, equipment and facility cleaning
- This job requires a candidate to be physically capable of lifting, stretching, reaching, squatting, bending, twisting, and operating a vehicle in a safe manner.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections through checklists
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep
- Follow all DOT regulations and safety standards (non-commercial license vehicle)
- Complete daily and weekly opening/closing and operational checklists
- Communicate clearly with Logistics Manager and Shop Managers regarding routes, delays, or issues
Reliability & Punctuality: Routes must run on time. Orders must be accurate. Shops depend on you to open fully stocked and ready for service.
Detail-Oriented Precision: Inventory accuracy directly impacts our revenue and experience for both our customers and our employees. You double-check counts and catch errors before they leave the building.
