Truck Jockey

Overview

We’re hiring a Truck Jockey for our distribution center. This role drives fleet equipment in and out of the warehouse and verifies pallets for accuracy. You’ll work Monday–Friday evenings, starting at 5:00p.m., and help keep shipments safe.

Keeps shift timing Monday‑Friday 5:00p.m. until the work is completed. Starting pay is $23.25 per hour with a Texas ClassA CDL.

• Drive fleet equipment safely in and out of the warehouse using commercial driving regulations.
• Perform pre‑trip daily inspections and maintain equipment batteries and fuel.
• Assist the DC loading team with staging, moving, and loading pallets.
• Visually verify pallets for accuracy and product security.
• Follow product handling procedures and report damage, returns, or dunnage.
• Ensure refrigeration units operate correctly and report issues.
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• 18years of age or older
• Basic English reading, writing, and math skills
• Texas ClassA CDL operator’s license

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Effective communication skills

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Pull/push loads up to 55lbs (off‑premise) or 165lbs (on‑premise)
• Perform heavy and repetitive lifting/placement of products
• Tolerate indoor/outdoor and extreme temperatures
• Work in noisy and crowded environments
• Use personal computer for email, data entry, and documentation
• Communicate effectively with employees and operate machinery
• Maintain a current and valid driver’s license
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and attendance expectations
