Fueler Position
The Fueler position will provide assistance for the Fleet Shop department by fueling and washing equipment. Fuelers will also be backing delivery equipment to dock doors. A detailed list will be used with the specific size of equipment and door number assignment. Fuelers must be able to complete the tasks accurately. Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Fuel equipment, ensuring proper fuel is used.
- Document miles, gallons and equipment numbers legibly.
- Maneuver tractor/trailer through wash bay and wash equipment
- Back delivery equipment to dock doors
- Recognize length of trailers at a glance
Day
Work Schedule:
Off Wednesday/Sunday
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 12:00pm-8:30pm
Saturday: 9:30am-6:00pm
Night
Work Schedule:
Off Saturday & Sunday
Monday-Friday 10:00pm-6:30am
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must have ability to back tractor trailer to dock doors
- Must be able to maneuver equipment through narrow wash bay
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible for fueling tractor/trailer and maintaining accurate fueling records.
- Some knowledge of refrigerated trailer operation helpful
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions
- Must have ability to communicate effectively
- Job requires extensive walking and climbing in and out of vehicles
- You must be flexible to change.
- Must pass drug screen and physical exam
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
- Must be willing to work odd hours and shift work (nights).
- Must be able to walk extensively
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time usually for 8-10 hours
- Must be able to bend at the waist; stoop to reach and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner and operate lift assisting devices.
- Must be able to lift 30-60 lbs repetitively and heavier items weighing up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
