Anticipated hourly range: $18.36 per hour - $20.38 per hour

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.
What Warehouse Operations Contributes To Cardinal HealthOperations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Responsibilities- Unloading trucks in the Inbound section by using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to put pallets out of the trucks.
- Using Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products. If working with specialty products, must follow regulations to store refrigerated products.
- Storing products in warehouse locations using order picker or other devices.
- Picking products from warehouse locations and loads into outbound trucks.
- Cross-training in multiple departments:
Inbound, Replenishment and Outbound. - Breaking down cases of product and operate PIT equipment to stock or replenish warehouse.
- Utilizing voice to pick system to pick large case items with material handling equipment or to pick small unit of measure items and place on cart.
- Ensuring high quality through attention to detail and correctly identify products by item number.
- Organizing and segregating similar items at point of receipt.
- Breaking down and palletizing large items to skid and wrap for shipment.
- Packing and correctly labeling small items in boxes or bags.
- Driving material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes: order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- 1 - 2 years related experience preferred.
- Previous material handling experience (MHE) preferred, but willing to learn to operate MHE.
- Radio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred.
- Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or more required.
- Must be ready, willing and able to work a 12-hour shift as needed with limited to no advance notice.
- Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently.
- Adherence to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
- Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications.
- Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
- Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
- Adheres to all quality guidelines.
- Works under moderate degree of supervision.
- Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.
- Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor.
