Position: PARTS ASSOCIATE - Fort Worth, TX

Job Summary

The Parts Associate will efficiently manage the procurement and distribution of heavy‑duty equipment, diesel engine, and hydraulic component parts for outside sales and internal repairs. The role includes receiving, placing, and filling orders for outside part sales, and ensuring parts are available for mechanics.

Essential Functions
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills; flexibility to assist other departments.
  • Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) and creating parts lists using Excel.
  • Order and track parts/inventory to minimize delay in vehicle repairs.
  • Maintain written documentation of parts ordered/received.
  • Assess requests to ensure correct items and quantities.
  • Process orders and contact vendors to procure parts.
  • Collaborate with managers and team members on large purchase decisions.
  • Track incoming and outgoing inventory per company procedures.
  • Accurately distribute parts to mechanics and assign equipment to vehicles.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date computer‑based parts inventory systems.
  • Assist in inventory counts and maintain records.
  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels to prevent production delays.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; GED accepted.
  • Parts and service experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and inventory software.
  • Experience with warehousing software preferred.
  • Past warehouse experience; forklift operation.
  • Understanding of parts for trucks and heavy equipment desirable.
