Warehouse Supervisor

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts.
• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures issued by Coastal Chemical Co & client(s).
• Works directly with the dispatchers to ensure customer needs are filled.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting quarterly physical counts and reconciling counts with the BUS data storage system.
• Manages stock control and reconciles with the BUS data storage system.
• Produces reports and statistics regularly (Order Point/Order Quantity report, dead stock report, and slow moving reports).
• Oversees receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
• Schedules materials to be moved to and from the warehouse, coordinating inventory transfers with related warehouses.
• Maintains physical condition of the warehouse by inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair, and requisitions for replacement.
• Organizes and maintains inventory and storage area.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; follows up on work results.
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
• Manages and maintains the Hazardous Waste/Quarantine area, including proper labeling and classification of hazardous waste items and coordinating pick‑up with hazardous waste vendors.

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or equivalent work experience in a warehouse; preferably in the chemical industry, with at least three years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
