Term of Appointment: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week

Salary and BenefitsSalary: Classification 10, $50,890.25 – $52,464.18 annually, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement.
Vacation: 119 hours annually, pro-rated and front-loaded.
Additional Time Off: Time off for family illness, personal illness, and other special leaves. Closure during the Christmas Break (Dec 25 – Jan
1) is paid.
Pension: Enrolment in the Municipal Pension Plan is mandatory for all regular, full-time staff, with employer-matched contributions.
DescriptionAs a member of our Workforce Training & Continuing Education (WTCE) team, the Clerk is responsible for providing information to the public and students, providing enrolment and registration services, cashiering, and providing administrative support to the Dean of Continuing Education and Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will advise various stakeholders (in person, by telephone, and/or on social media) on courses that are delivered by the Workforce Training & Continuing Education Department, making appropriate referrals to both internal and external contacts when required. They will handle routine public relations functions by exchanging general information on policies and procedures, maintaining course interest lists, and following up with students by phone and email to secure registrations.
As the WTCE Clerk can expect to work within our "Colleague" system for inputting data and student registrations. No prior knowledge of "Colleague" is required; our team will train you.

QualificationsMinimum requirements:
- Two years of related experience and one year of post-secondary education, with a certificate in office administration or business administration preferred.
- Experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Previous experience completing validation of cash and balance of accounts.
- Familiarity with a student records registration system an asset.
- A current, valid driver’s license.
