The City of Fort St. John is hiring an Economic Development Coordinator to work with the Manager of Economic Development. This key role involves coordinating economic projects, preparing grant applications, and implementing strategies for smart resident attraction and retention. Previous experience in a municipal setting is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and evaluate various economic development initiatives

• Enhance tourism and community wellness through strategic plans

• Prepare detailed grant applications for city funding

• Collaborate with other departments and technical groups

• Assist in the overall community development strategy

Requirements:

• College/University degree in relevant fields

• Minimum of five years related experience

• Must hold a Class 5 BC Driver’s License

• Strong understanding of economic development

• Excellent facilitation and partnership skills
