Position: CFO Role with Peace River Regional District
Location: Dawson Creek

Shape financial leadership within Peace River Regional District as Chief Financial Officer based in Dawson Creek. Oversee strategic initiatives and a budget of $130M.

This role requires a forward-thinking financial leader to manage and mentor a team while focusing on compliance and public accountability. Your expertise in local government finance and clear communication will support collaboration with stakeholders and aid in navigating economic challenges. The CFO will play a central role in promoting fiscal responsibility for community wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive financial services and reporting

• Manage budget creation and tax rate translations

• Lead finance department staff and performance initiatives

• Identify grant funding in coordination with departments

• Deliver financial updates effectively to the Board

Requirements:

• Degree in a finance-related field and CPA certification

• Extensive experience in local government finance

• Knowledge of Vadim and understanding of legislation

• Relevant educational and experience equivalency may apply
