Position: Utilities Manager - Leadership Role

Reporting to the Director of Public Works, the Utilities Manager plays a vital role in overseeing municipal utilities, including water treatment and sewer collection. Key aspects of this role include operational planning, compliance with regulations, and effective management of a diverse team. Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct municipal utility operations and maintenance

• Set operational priorities and allocate resources

• Monitor and enhance utility system performance

• Manage staff development and performance evaluations

• Oversee budget administration and resource allocation

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or comparable area

• 5+ years in municipal utility or public works management

• Required BC EOCP certification

• BC Class 5 Driver’s License mandatory

• Strong knowledge of utility regulations and safety practices
