This role reports to the Director of Pharmacy Operations and is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, preparation, and dispensing of prescriptions. It also oversees inventory, customer counseling, public relations, staff supervision, and the financial success of the department.

What you'll do
  • Supervise and provide guidance and direction to staff.
  • Hire and manage staff performance.
  • Accountable for the financial and operational success of the department.
  • Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely.
  • Ensure medication and over‑the‑counter supplement inventory levels are adequate.
  • Counsel patients on new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive manner.
  • Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.).
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor requests/issues.
  • Obtain and review budgeted sales and net contribution.
  • Identify and report sales opportunities internally and externally.
  • Review and control costs at all levels within the pharmacy.
What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist’s license.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a retail environment.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong people‑management skills and ability to motivate and coach others.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  • Proven ability to build the business using community‑based marketing strategies.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and experience in formulating and executing action plans.
  • Proficient in personal computing, and knowledge of Healthwatch and/or Kroll pharmacy systems is an asset.

Hiring Range: $56.55 - $73.15 per hour (pay may vary by location and experience). The posting is for an existing vacancy. The company uses artificial intelligence for screening, assessment, and selection of applicants.
