We are looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to oversee, review, and sign off on Stage I and II Site Investigations and remediation reports. This role requires an Environmental Professional with strong technical expertise and a commitment to environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance in site assessment and remediation practices.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee Stage I & II Preliminary Site Investigations, Detailed Site Investigations and remediation programs for industrial and oil and gas clients.
  • Develop and implement creative solutions for clients’ environmental challenges.
  • Lead and supervise small and large‑scale remediation projects.
  • Analyze and interpret collected information and review technical reports for sign‑off.
  • Stay current with relevant regulations, codes, and industry best practices to ensure compliance with all applicable standards.
  • Provide direction for long‑term Certificates of Restoration from the BCER.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, directives, and SOPs.
  • Develop client relationships and project strategy.
  • Champion a culture of excellence, ensuring health, safety and quality standards are met.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, fostering continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, biological science or related field.
  • Registration with a British Columbia professional association.
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental site assessments, soil sampling, groundwater monitoring and site remediation.
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and technical writing skills.
  • Experience managing activities requiring environmental consultants or contractors.
  • Valid driver’s license.
