• Comply with Surerus Safety practices and procedures
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Assist tradespeople and machine operators as needed
• Gather tools and materials as requested by foreperson and tradespeople
• Clean and prepare job sites by removing debris and hazardous materials
• Operate hand and power tools
• Complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments
• Perform spotting for various types of equipment
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned
• In addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the company.

• Eligible to work in Canada
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Previous experience in general labour or construction is an asset.

• Self‑starter with problem solving skills and adaptability
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
• Safety conscious and aware of job site protocols
• Punctual with a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills

• Position is based in Fort St John and often works within the yard and other locations.
• Must be able to work 8 – 10 hour days, 5 – 6 days a week.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required as a condition of employment.
• Steel‑toed boots are required for this position.

The hourly rate for this position is $24.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on the candidate's skills and experience.
