Position: Mechanical Technician for Facilities Department
Join Northern Lights College as a Mechanical Technician to perform vital maintenance tasks across various campuses. Ensure systems operate smoothly by applying your skills in HVAC and plumbing.

This temporary position assists during an employee's leave, reporting directly to the Manager of Facilities. You will handle preventive maintenance, diagnose issues in heating and ventilation systems, and partake in general maintenance for buildings and grounds. Your expertise in troubleshooting and equipment operation will be crucial to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive maintenance on all systems

• Repair and maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

• Operate mobile equipment like forklifts and tractors

• Ensure all work meets safety regulations

• Complete necessary training upon hiring

Requirements:

• Graduation from Grade 12

• Certification in Plumbing or Gasfitter required

• At least three years' relevant experience

• Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems

• Fifth Class Power Engineer certification (asset)
