Position: Lead Technician for Curling Ice Maintenance

Become the Head Ice Technician at the Dawson Creek Curling Club for the 2026–27 season, focusing on exceptional ice quality for all curling activities.

This role requires hands-on leadership in ice installation, daily maintenance, and removal, working in tandem with the General Manager and an experienced volunteer crew. You will ensure that the ice meets the highest standards, supporting both casual play and competitive events during a busy season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the annual ice installation and removal process

• Conduct regular maintenance of ice through various techniques

• Optimize ice conditions by monitoring and adjusting as needed

• Manage curling stones and ice-making machinery effectively

• Support ongoing bonspiels, leagues, and special events

Requirements:

• Experience in curling or arena ice settings

• Knowledge of refrigeration or strong mechanical skills

• Flexibility in work hours to accommodate events

• Strong communication for day-to-day operations
