GFL Environmental is seeking motivated individuals for the Heavy-Duty Mechanic Apprentice position.

This role offers hands-on experience with commercial diesel and alternative fuel trucks, along with mentorship from skilled Red Seal Journey persons. Key responsibilities include diagnosing CNG/diesel engines and performing preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair CNG/diesel engines and hydraulic systems

• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections

• Track parts usage and manage work orders

• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment

Requirements:

• Enrolled in or completed a technical training program

• Valid Driver’s License required

• Provide basic tools and willingness to acquire more
