This Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic position focuses on repairing trucks and motorized equipment. You will use power tools, hand instruments, and diagnostic equipment while addressing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Daily planning and documentation are essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform fleet maintenance and repairs across multiple fuel systems
- Use power tools, hand instruments, and diagnostic equipment
- Prepare work orders and daily maintenance reports
- Procure parts required for scheduled repairs
- Coordinate regional schedules and mechanical write-ups
- Completed Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship
- Red Seal or B.C. Journeyperson certification
- Valid Class 5 licence for heavy-duty vehicle operation
- Proven mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems expertise
- Ability to meet safety-sensitive work criteria
