The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) is accountable for providing nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the registered nurse (RN). The LPN is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications and treatments and is accountable for delegating and practicing nursing care within legally established guidelines and scope of practice.

• Demonstrate commitment to patients by participating in the implementation of the nursing process under RN direction.
• Provide direct patient care within scope, efficiently and respectfully, observing and documenting responses and adjusting care with RN.
• Administer ordered medication and document treatment appropriately and timely.
• Possess skills/knowledge to perform treatments, including medications and equipment.
• Contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care by collecting data and providing input to the RN/health‑care team.
• Promptly notify changes in patient condition to appropriate individuals.
• Document nursing care delivered and patient responses; implement plan of care knowledgeably, involving family or significant other.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
• Accept delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor in meeting the needs of the patient/family.
• Observe, recognize, and report information/changes related to physical, spiritual, and psychosocial needs, taking action as appropriate.
• Verify that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately.
• Deliver care in accordance with the patient care plan, organizational policies and procedures, and principles of relationship‑based care.

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• HS Diploma/GED
• Current LPN state license

At least 1+ years of related experience.
