- Key responsibilities:
Provide direct, evidence-based care to ICU patients, including continuous monitoring of vital signs and laboratory data, titration of vasoactive medications, and management of advanced support modalities such as invasive lines and ventilators. Conduct frequent patient assessments, update care plans, and participate actively in interdisciplinary rounds with intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and social work. Initiate timely interventions during emergencies, implement sepsis protocols, coordinate rapid response and code events, and ensure seamless transitions of care from the ICU to step-down units or discharge.
