American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a CA RN license required and at least 1 year of OR experience.

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Handles general OR, ambulatory OR, and pediatric general OR cases
• Performs procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, and hernia repairs
• Supports pediatric general surgery cases such as appendectomy and inguinal hernia repair
• Provides endoscopic procedure support including colonoscopy and EGD
• Utilizes electrosurgical units and other OR equipment
• Supports ENT procedures including tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy and pediatric myringotomy with tubes
• Assists with orthopedic total joint replacement and thoracic VATS procedures
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Floating between sister facilities may be required

• Active CA RN license required, compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• PACU/Recovery skills preferred
• Cardiac monitoring, code response, and fire safety knowledge required
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
• Must not have prior Nursys or background check hits per facility policy

• Provides direct perioperative nursing care across general and pediatric surgical procedures
• Responds to emergencies and participates in code response and fire safety protocols
• Must disclose any prior work history with a Providence facility as permanent staff, traveler, or registry/per-diem
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are considered local
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
