American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 1 year of OR experience and a valid CA RN license for a 13-week day shift assignment.

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
• Performs General OR, Ambulatory OR, and Pediatric General OR procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, and hernia repairs
• Handles pediatric ENT and general ENT procedures including tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy and myringotomy with tubes
• Supports orthopedic total joint replacement and thoracic VATS procedures
• Performs endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy and EGD
• Utilizes electrosurgical units and cardiac monitoring equipment
• PACU/Recovery skills preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Floating between sister facilities within the state may be required

• Active CA RN license required, must be in hand at submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience required
• 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, may include Charge RNs/Leads
• Documentation of SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care across general, pediatric, ENT, orthopedic, and thoracic surgical procedures
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with the facility system as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff, including location and dates
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Minimal RTO requests are preferred and must be submitted upfront during the application process
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
