Registered Nurse – OR in Fortuna, California, US. Start date 10/05/2026 with a travel, temporary assignment spanning multiple weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,883 to $3,022. No guaranteed hours are provided. Shift: 5x8 Days. This role supports a rural care setting’s surgical/PACU unit, requiring the circulating nurse to also participate in recovery. Endoscopy experience is required. The unit commonly handles general surgery cases and procedures across adolescent to geriatric patient populations, and operates with 3 patient rooms.
Orientation is 40 hours. On-call obligations include 2 days per week (holidays and weekends) and three 24-hour on-call weekend shifts per month, with holiday coverage required for three of five designated holidays. Floating to nearby facilities may be required. Epic is preferred for charting. References: two required (covering the last year).

- Travel assignment duration:
Weeks - On-call and holiday coverage as described in scheduling details
- Circulate and assist in the PACU for OR cases; manage perioperative supplies and sterile technique
- Provide recovery nursing care post-anesthesia, including monitoring and vitals, and elevate as needed
- Support endoscopy procedures; assist with patient positioning, equipment setup, and patient monitoring
- Monitor cardiac status and respond to perioperative emergencies per protocol
- Collaborate with anesthesia, respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit secretary to ensure safe patient flow
- Document patient care activities in the charting system (Epic preferred) and maintain accurate perioperative records
- Active California RN license
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of OR circulating and PACU experience; endoscopy experience is required
- Ability to work in a rural, multi-service care setting; willingness to float to nearby facilities as needed
- On-call requirements: 2 days per week (includes holidays and weekends); 3 on-call weekend shifts per month; holiday coverage for 3 of 5 designated holidays
- Orientation completion: 40 hours prior to start
