Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager

Foster City, CA (Hybrid)

Pay Range: $58 - $68/hr.

Duration: 6 months

• 6 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience with strong exposure to general ledger, accounts payable, and month‑end close processes
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, with the ability to apply accounting principles accurately
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, reconcile accounts, and prepare detailed financial reports

This person is responsible for activities related to accounts payable, general ledger, and month‑end close. The successful candidate will be flexible, proactive, responsible, reliable, detail‑oriented, and customer‑focused with excellent communication skills. They must be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. This is a job for someone willing to take full ownership of their workload and interact with all levels of employees throughout the organization.

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Manage accounts payable and implement process improvements
• Review employee expense accounting classifications
• Act as a backup for team members when needed for different accounting functions, such as fixed assets and leases
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accuracy in accruals
• Continuously assess and improve accounting systems and processes

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
• 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience
• Possess a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive attitude, team player, and ability to quickly adapt to changes
• Excellent Excel skills

• Medium startup and/or public company accounting experience
• SAP, Ariba, Oracle

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated.
