Middle School Math Teacher — Long Term Substitute (Part Time .40 FTE).

Hours:

8:30–11:30, Monday–Friday, beginning October 26, 2026 and ending June 11, 2027.Located in Foster City, Ronald

C. Wornick Jewish Day School (TK–8) seeks an experienced Middle School Math Teacher to start October 26th; familiarity with progressive environments preferred.

Teach 2 sections of Middle School Math (6th Grade and High School Geometry); provide instruction based on student needs; implement adopted programs; design engaging, Project-Based lessons; build positive relationships; differentiate and follow student learning plans; assess frequently and effectively; create lesson/unit plans under leadership; document and report assessments/progress; use multi-modal instruction and technology; support respectful school environment and policies; provide individualized work per plans;

collaborate across grades; partner with parents; attend meetings and duties; exchange professional feedback.

Degree in Education, Math, Science or closely related field;
Teaching Credential and/or Master’s preferred; 3+ years formal teaching; familiarity with Common Core Math standards; strong content knowledge (pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry); experience with Project Based Learning and progressive methods; growth mindset; collaborative; strong interpersonal/communication skills; excited about professional growth.

Salary range prorated $72,000–$98,000, determined by experience and credentials.
