Overview
JOB TITLE: Automotive Schematic Engineer
LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite)
PAY RANGE: $82 - $92/hr.
DURATION: 6 months
Top 3 Skills- 6–8 years of hands-on experience creating and maintaining automotive electrical schematics, including logical and physical system diagrams
- Strong proficiency with schematic capture and documentation tools, with direct experience using Capital Tools (Capital Logic)
- Deep understanding of automotive electrical/electronic systems, including wiring harness design and system-level integration
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Schematic Engineer to help our team. This role will be aid in developing and maintaining both logical and physical schematics for our autonomous robots, ensuring proper documentation of electrical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics for autonomous vehicle robots.
- Develop logical system diagrams that clearly communicate system architecture and interactions, focused on interactions within and between robot subsystems.
- Design and document physical schematics for vehicle subsystems. Collaborate with harness and systems engineers to ensure accurate representation of system connections and interfaces. Actively participate in design reviews and provide technical input for system improvements.
- Maintain schematic documentation using industry-standard tools and practices. Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and best practices.
- Support manufacturing, robot verification teams, and service documentation needs through clear, accurate schematic designs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience creating electrical schematics for automotive applications.
- Proficient in schematic capture and documentation tools.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic systems and components.
- Experience with wiring harness design and documentation.
- Experience working with the Capital Tools suite, specifically Capital Logic.
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated. In addition to base compensation, full-time roles are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Commuter and 401K benefits with company matching.
