Our client, a leading innovator in vehicle testing and infrastructure development, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the EE Integration department supporting vehicle test infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer – Test Infrastructure

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $60 per hour

• Support the modeling and design of vehicle bucks and hardware-in-the-loop test systems, enabling critical test operations.
• Model and design test infrastructure such as dynamo meters, fixtures, equipment racks, sensor adapters, and more.
• Measure and model existing equipment, updating related documentation and illustrations.
• Collaborate with customers to understand design requirements and project scope.
• Assist with the assembly and installation of test equipment to ensure seamless integration and operation.

• BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience, with evidence of exceptional ability.
• Experience using 3DX CATIA for modeling and designing parts such as brackets, enclosures, and harness routing.
• Ability to measure and model existing or off-the-shelf equipment accurately.
• Proficiency in importing and cleaning up third-party models into 3DX or similar CAD software.
• Skill in creating high-quality 2D fabrication drawings and applying GD&T tolerancing principles.
