JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite)
PAY RANGE: $51 - $61/hr.
DURATION: 6 months
TOP 3SKILLS:
- Proficient in 3DX CATIA for modeling parts, assemblies, and hardware; experienced in measuring and modeling existing or off-the-shelf equipment.
- Able to create high-quality 2D fabrication drawings, apply GD&T for tolerancing, and manage PLM/BOM processes.
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts to support integration with mechatronic systems.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The EE Integration team is responsible for ensuring that electrical and mechatronic components are rigorously tested together as a system. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will model projects critical to that mission in 3D CAD. You will work with a high-performance cross-functional team to turn concepts into detailed designs that are ready for fabrication. Existing equipment and lab spaces also need to be modeled.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Support the modeling and design of vehicle bucks and hardware-in-the-loop test systems, enabling critical test operations.
- Model and design test infrastructure to be built, such as dynamo meters, fixtures, equipment racks, sensor adapters, and more.
- Measure and model existing equipment and update related documentation illustrations.
- Collaborate with customers to understand design requirements and project scope.
- Assist with assembly and installation of equipment.
- BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent in experience, and evidence of exceptional ability.
- Experience using 3DX CATIA to model and design parts (e.g., brackets, enclosures, harness routing). You must also have experience measuring and modeling existing or off-the-shelf equipment.
- Importing and cleaning up third party models into 3DX or similar.
- Ability to create high-quality 2D fab drawings and use GD&T basics for tolerancing.
- PLM/BOM management.
- At least basic knowledge of electrical concepts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hands‑on skills for assembly or fabrication, working on cars, or similar hobbies.
- Experience doing structural and/or thermal analysis.
- Experience with building code, collaborating with architects/facilities, Revit.
- Fastener torque and related hardware selection details, e.g., washers.
- Experience with documentation tools, such as Confluence, Jira, etc.
- Wire harness/electronics experience.

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated.
