Hardware Engineer, Test Development

Our client, a leading innovator in the automotive and technology industry, is seeking a Hardware Engineer to join their team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Test Development team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, innovation, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Hardware Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range:$76.72

What's the Job?

• Develop, document, and execute component and system-level hardware testing procedures.
• Collaborate with suppliers, design, and system engineers to characterize the functional performance of sense and compute hardware.
• Conduct development testing on early prototypes and qualification testing on modules intended for vehicle use.
• Create and develop custom test assets such as load simulators, test harnesses, and Python scripts.
• Facilitate test infrastructure projects by working closely with procurement and suppliers to ensure seamless execution.

What's Needed?

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience in electronics development.
• Experience with testing electronic, automotive, aerospace, or vehicle components.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Altium for PCBA and 3DExperience or Catia for 3D modeling.
• Hands‑on experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, environmental chambers, spectrum analyzers, and more, along with familiarity with Ubuntu and Python.
