Our client, a leader in advanced vehicle manufacturing, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their team. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be part of the Additive Manufacturing Lab supporting engineering and prototyping teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA
What's the Job?- Support the end-to-end realization of complex autonomous vehicle prototypes through additive manufacturing processes.
- Act as a Design-for-Manufacturability (DfM) consultant to optimize CAD models for various 3D printing technologies.
- Develop and document standardized build parameters and post-processing workflows to ensure high-quality, repeatable outputs.
- Oversee the assembly of high-fidelity prototypes, integrating 3D-printed parts with CNC-machined components and electronics.
- Perform post-processing activities such as sanding, painting, and finishing to prepare prototypes for testing and presentation.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4-6 years of experience in high-stakes prototyping or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Deep expertise in the chemical and thermal properties of advanced resins and powders used in SLA, SLS, FDM, and Polyjet technologies.
- High proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Works or CATIA, especially for fixture design and complex assembly modifications.
- Experience with CAM software like Materialize Magics, GrabCAD Print, or Autodesk Fusion for AM build processing.
- Ability to perform quality control using precision measurement tools and validate parts against GD&T requirements.
