We are seeking a NVH Integration Engineer with experience in presenting and advocating for decisions in large design forums. You should possess a high degree of understanding of vehicle design and development. You should understand system interactions and dependencies, have familiarity with advanced concept design and development, and have experience in acoustic package design and development, including body sealing systems.
Responsibilities- Represent NVH in packaging meetings and design gates to execute the NVH content strategy in CAD, and provide an NVH input for packaging studies.
- Create NVH criteria and packaging CAD for interior acoustics, exterior acoustics, damping, baffles, and sealing strategies in both 2D and 3D to ensure the NVH recipe is successfully integrated as PoR to the next generation of our vehicles.
- Utilize the criteria CAD to track compromises to the nominal thickness and create thickness maps of the acoustic treatments for the Acoustics/SEA Attribute engineer to assess performance at design gates, and support performance impact of packaging studies.
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years vehicle packaging and advanced vehicle integration experience, representing performance attributes, especially noise and vibration.
- 5+ years of experience in CAD (CATIA).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with acoustic and vibration test equipment and data analysis software (LMS, Test.
Lab, HEAD Acoustics Artemi
S, etc.). - NVH development experience would be a bonus, especially wind noise development.
