Vehicle Radar Validation Engineer

Location: 100% Onsite in Foster City, CA | 5 days in office

Duration: 6 month assignment - Contract extension potential

Pay: Negotiable depending on direct related experience up to $60 - $65 an hour

Type: W2 contract (C2C or third-party arrangements will NOT be considered)

• Schedule and coordinate structured and unstructured vehicle testing
• Perform radar firmware validation and next-generation radar evaluation
• Take full ownership of radar and sensor data analysis: directly extract, interpret, and report on test and validation results to drive engineering decisions
• Develop detailed technical validation reports and effectively communicate findings
• Follow up on the logistics and arrangement of test campaigns
• Handle warranty returns to radar suppliers
• Assist with thermal testing to validate new trim and enclosures
• Develop radar test setups—including gimbal and test automation scripts

• Undergraduate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Proven, hands‑on experience analyzing radar and sensor data (not just in a supporting capacity, but owning extraction, interpretation, and reporting of test/validation outcomes)
• Strong experience with Linux systems and Ethernet networks
• Organized mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills

• Scripting experience with Python or similar automation tools
• Prior exposure to testing autonomous vehicle hardware systems
