Job Summary

Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous mobility, is seeking a Firmware Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Firmware Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Chassis Actuator Engineering Department supporting Brake & Steering systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, collaboration, and a passion for automotive innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain thorough brake and steering sub‑system level technical specifications through collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Contribute to the development of diagnostic scripts and tools to enhance validation processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to adapt test plans, validate firmware changes, and perform regression testing to meet project milestones.
  • Lead supplier firmware defect resolution and impact assessments by leveraging system design and architecture expertise.
  • Engage with cross-disciplinary teams including AI, Mechatronics, Computer Vision, and Robotics to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field with 6+ years of experience in the automotive or similar industry.
  • Proven experience debugging complex problems involving hardware, software, and firmware components.
  • Knowledge of automotive actuator controls and validation methodologies.
  • Experience with implementing various test methodologies and developing HIL test assets.
  • Understanding of automotive program development, release processes, and long‑term scheduling.
