Company is helping our client find an Interiors Engineer to be responsible for the design, release, and launch of the complete interior system for company vehicles. You will be part of the team that creates and executes world-class interiors in terms of form, function, and durability
In this role, you'll work on essential components like hard trim, headliner systems, insulators, pillar trims, and floor components, ensuring seamless integration throughout the vehicle.
The ideal candidate
As an Interiors Engineer, you'll:
- Own the design and release of interior components and subsystems using CATIA V6, translating system requirements into production-ready designs in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
- Partner closely with the design studio to balance aesthetics, functionality, and cost through iterative development.
- Work cross-functionally with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet high standards for durability, reliability, and fit & finish.
- Review and apply CAE simulation results to optimize product performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including DFMEAs and DVP&Rs, to support validation and quality processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain-to ensure successful launch of new vehicles while supporting and maintaining the existing fleet.
