About the RoleOur client is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing test solutions for the electronic platforms that support autonomous vehicle technology. This role focuses on testing critical components including custom PCIe devices, networking solutions, and PC hardware while collaborating closely with electrical engineering and software teams to support innovative product development.
What you will be doing- Develop and release test solutions to support early bring-up and manufacturing activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement effective test coverage and processes across PCBA, module, system, and vehicle manufacturing phases.
- Support the testing and validation of prototype hardware and system designs.
- Establish best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test execution, runtime efficiency, and production yield.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software and hardware systems within a Linux-based environment.
You are a curious and motivated engineer who enjoys working with emerging technologies in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in collaborative settings, can work independently when needed, and are highly organized in managing schedules and critical project deadlines.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
- 6–8 years of industry experience in testing and validation engineering.
- Hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex software systems.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and testing electronic assemblies.
- Proficiency with Git workflows, conflict resolution, branching, merging, and repository history management.
- Strong scripting experience with Python and Bash.
- Experience working within Linux environments and using command-line debugging tools such as lshw and ssh.
- Experience with NPI testing and validation processes.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as C++.
