Mechanical Engineer - Serviceability Security Clearance

Position: Mechanical Engineer - Serviceability with Security Clearance
Introduction We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to drive the Design for Serviceability. In this role, you will perform evaluations of form, fit, function, access, and analysis of our products. Your responsibilities will include presenting comprehensive reports, findings, and opportunities to reduce cost, time, and motion. You will collaborate with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Design, and Prototyping to advocate for core initiatives that support the service optimization of our products.

Additionally, you will spend time with the field team evaluating the products and identifying changes that will improve overall serviceability and maintainability. Required

Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* 4-6 years of engineering experience
* Demonstrated successful experience in mechanical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment
* Experience designing and developing products through the lifecycle
* Prior work experience at client or in client's industry Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2 Preferred

Skills & Qualifications
* Ability to design for a wide range of fabrication and manufacturing processes
* Experience with product and process validation
* Tooling and/or equipment design experience Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Partner with cross-functional teams to drive Serviceability (Design for Serviceability)
* Evaluate part and assembly design, from concept to design to manufacturing introduction for hand clearance, tooling clearance, ergonomics, and feasibility of replacement of all components
