- Top-Tier Pay: Premium rate of $105.67/hr on a full-time contract running through August 17, 2026.
- Massive Scope & Authority: Concurrently lead and own the dimensional strategy across parallel vehicle programs - your decisions directly impact vehicle safety and software calibration.
- Cutting-Edge Tech Stack: Work hands-on with state-of-the-art sensor suites, 3
DEXPERIENCE (3DX), CATIA V6, and advanced 3D variation modeling. - High Visibility: Bridge the gap between executive leadership, hardware design, supplier quality, and manufacturing operations.
- Multi-Program Leadership: Own sensor integration dimensional strategy across parallel vehicle architectures, establishing functional requirements from individual parts to full vehicle builds.
- Datum & Sensor Calibration Strategy: Develop rock-solid datum schemes, sensor mounting locator strategies, and tolerance allocations that ensure perfect sensor-to-body and sensor-to-sensor co-calibration.
- Metrology & Fixture Authority: Design and enforce comprehensive measurement strategies; review and give final approval for internal and supplier metrology fixture concepts.
- Cross-Functional Design Influence: Deliver real-time architectural feedback to hardware and design teams to optimize body layouts and bracket designs for seamless assembly.
- Supplier Excellence: Partner with Supplier Quality (SQ) on PPAP activities, vendor capabilities, and engineering escalations to keep program deadlines strictly on target.
- Experience: 8-10 years dedicated to dimensional management, variation simulation, or metrology in Automotive, Aerospace, or Autonomous Robotics
. - AV Sensor Expertise: Deep understanding of the unique alignment, structural, and dimensional demands of LiDAR, Radar, and Camera suites.
- DVA & GD&T Mastery: Hands-on expert in 1D & 3D Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA) stack-ups and advanced ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles.
- CAD & Software Tools: Fluent in CATIA V6 and 3
DEXPERIENCE (3DX) for model interrogation, reference geometry, and functional datum mapping. - Statistical Rigor: Solid foundation in Statistical Process Control (SPC), variation simulation, $C_p / C_{pk}$, and Gauge R&R studies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Fixture Design Engineering (or related technical field).
- Workplace: On-site in Foster City, CA
. - Hours: Full-time (30+ hours/week guarantee).
