Location:
Foster City (4 days in office preferred)
Our client is a private equity firm with over $3.0 billion of capital under management, focused primarily on making long term, control investments in middle market businesses. This exceptional PE firm is looking for a Finance Manager to, among other tasks, work with the Finance team helping to manage the reporting of portfolio company data in the funds financial reporting, annual meeting presentations and in fundraising efforts as well as work closely with senior management on pro forma analyses.
POSITIONDESCRIPTION:
- Manage portfolio data collection, monitoring, analytics, valuation, and reporting software, working closely with the deal teams.
- Lead the quarterly valuation process for all portfolio companies
- Maintain and update valuation models utilizing market multiples, discounted cash flow analyses, precedent transactions, and other accepted valuation methodologies
- Manage the quarterly LP reporting of portfolio company data in coordination with the fund administrator and the Finance team.
- Manage the responding of LP portfolio data requests in coordination with the fund administrator and the Finance team.
- Help with gathering portfolio company data in coordination with the deal teams for fundraising investor presentations.
- Work with senior management on pro forma analyses including fund capacity and IRR calculations.
- Work closely with deal teams and Finance team to ensure portfolio reporting and deal team analysis are consistent, e.g., capitalization tables.
- Work closely with auditors, fund administrator, and Finance team on the annual audit
- Manage the quarterly and annual valuation process with the Valuation committee and the outside valuation firm.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Use a creative and pragmatic approach to problem solving and thinking about ways to make financial reporting more efficient.
- Act with the highest level of integrity and ethics.
EDUCATION:
- 4–6 years of experience of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, M&A, leveraged finance, private equity, or a closely related role
- Experience with venture capital or growth equity portfolio valuation preferred
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
