Job Description

The Sr IT Business Analysis Specialist (Tech Dev Biologics Clinical Manufacturing) in the PDM IT organization will be a strategic technology partner to the PDM Biologics Clinical Manufacturing business capability. The role involves aligning technology direction with business goals, defining solutions, and driving business value through system and service maturity.

• Cultivate a working knowledge of Biologics Clinical Manufacturing, Facilities & Engineering, and Quality Control.
• Participate in short‑ and long‑term strategic planning sessions to improve business or IT processes through capability development.
• Lead discovery sessions to identify opportunities for improvements in business capabilities or IT operations and formulate cost‑effective proposals.
• Demonstrate how capability enablement can support selected business areas and how platforms and solutions can help achieve short‑ and long‑term goals.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with functional stakeholders.
• Develop business use cases, cost structures, and ROI models to support investment projects and activities.

• Communicate with business capabilities, IT, vendors, and stakeholders about vision, roadmap, progress, risks, and results.
• Work with SMEs and stakeholders to identify and evaluate risks that may impact capability enablement.
• Participate in workshop sessions for incremental roadmap assessments and business alignment.
• Educate and align business digital vision and needs with IT initiatives beyond technical feasibility.
• Illustrate contextual insight to ensure IT development supports revenue growth, compliance, and customer outcomes.
• Present voice of the business by capturing evolving needs and translating them into system capability targets.

• Participate in workshops to connect business objectives to long‑term IT capabilities.
• Provide input to anticipate changes in scale, market, or regulation for future proofing and roadmap incorporation.
• Collaborate across functions to align product, operations, and IT on a single direction.

• Provide input to the Business Translation Layer to ensure delivery solves business problems and supports Dev Ops code delivery.
• Validate business requirements upfront to reduce rework.
• Enhance change management and adoption by ensuring workflows and training match the business context.
• Work with process owners and Dev Ops leads to develop appropriate solutions.
• Engage Domain Architecture team to align long‑term technology strategy with business objectives.
• Set proper expectations and support escalation and resolution through negotiation or governance mechanisms.
• Analyze current and future technology trends to determine impact on business and provide input to promote capability enablement.
• Communicate key capability aspects to other IT domains.

• Track business KPIs post‑implementation.
• Provide feedback loops for product enhancements and roadmap updates.
• Ensure IT delivery remains aligned with evolving business needs.

• Assist IT team lead in prioritizing the flow of work in the program backlog.
• Foster a team environment and share relevant information with team members.
