Source One Technical Solutions is helping our client find a Supply Chain Materials Manager to support operations teams and ensure the smooth flow of materials across product development and manufacturing. In this role, you’ll work to provide end-to-end material management, including planning, procurement, inventory control, material flow optimization, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and experienced in managing supply chain operations in a fast-paced environment.

As a Supply Chain Materials Manager, you'll:
- Partner with procurement, supply chain planning, logistics, and engineering teams to understand demand, share forecasts with suppliers, and track supplier readiness for on-time delivery.
- Monitor supplier lead times and ensure adequate order coverage based on demand and lead-time constraints.
- Review supplier input/output (I/O) plans, identify material risks, and develop mitigation strategies with cross-functional partners, escalating issues as needed.
- Resolve operational issues related to purchase order coverage, invoicing discrepancies, and master data management within the ERP system.
- Track and report key performance metrics, including material availability, on-time delivery, and delivery accuracy.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts by ensuring materials align with development schedules and production ramp plans.
Daily tasks:
As a Supply Chain Materials Manager for Direct Procurement, you will support Zoox's Operations teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials throughout the product development and manufacturing process. This role involves end-to-end material management, including planning, procurement, inventory control, material flow optimization, and supplier coordination.
Required skills:
- Key Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Engineering) to understand overall demand, share forecasts with the suppliers, track supplier readiness for on-time delivery, and report internally to support planning.
- Monitor supplier lead times and ensure order coverage based on demand and lead time.
- Review supplier input/output (IO) plans, identify material risks, develop mitigation plans with cross-functional support and escalate to leadership where required Resolve operational issues related to PO coverage, invoicing, and master data management in the ERP system.
- Track and report key performance metrics, including material availability, on-time delivery, and delivery accuracy.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts by ensuring material alignment with development timelines and production ramps.
Must be able to answer the following questions:
End-to-End Materials Management:
Describe your experience managing end-to-end material flow, including planning, procurement, inventory control, and supplier coordination. What types of products or environments have you supported?
Tell us about a time you monitored supplier lead times and order coverage. How did you identify risks to on-time delivery, and what mitigation actions did you take?
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Share an example of how you used data analysis (Excel, Google Sheets, or other tools) to identify a supply chain issue or improve material availability or delivery performance.
ERP & Transactional Issue Resolution:
Walk us through how you’ve resolved purchase order coverage, invoicing discrepancies, or master data issues within an ERP system. What systems have you worked in?
NPI & Production Ramp Support:
Describe your role in supporting new product introductions (NPI). How did you ensure materials were aligned with development timelines and production ramp schedules?
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Give an example of how you partnered with procurement, logistics, engineering, or planning teams to align forecasts, manage risks, or improve material flow.
