JOB TITLE:
Supply Chain and Inventory Analyst
LOCATION:
Foster City, CA, with occasional travel to Fremont, CA (Kato location).
PAY RANGE: $60 - $70/hr.
DURATION: 6 months
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management with 6–8 years in Purchasing, Production, and Inventory Management
- Experience managing contracts, purchasing, and inventory of technical materials such as electrical components, PCBA’s, harnesses, and machined parts
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with MRP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Netsuite
The Supply Chain and Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing material availability from vendors to support production assembly. This individual will act as the interface to manufacturing and supply chain planning teams to release and monitor new Purchase Orders and ensure supplier performance to plan. This individual will coordinate with cross-functional teams to validate supply parameters, ensure timely delivery of material, and execute supporting functions related to the purchase contract.
Inthis role, you will
- Determine the required materials and generate purchase orders in SAP MRP system.
- Update Material Due Dates in MRP and communicate delivery dates to production team. Monitor and report delays, changes, etc.
- Work with suppliers and other departments to ensure consistent & timely supply. Ensure Part Numbers, Quantities, and due dates are accurate and needed.
- Understand production goals, Material Readiness Dates, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
- Be accountable for Material Planning, Logistics master data, and payment processing through SAP MRP.
- Review out-of-stock situations or shortage of supply issues to execute mitigating actions.
- Coordinate shipment schedules, including timely organization of all required documentation needed prior to shipment.
- Understand Inventory health as it relates to the Production Schedule to evaluate resupply dates.
- Ensure timely delivery of parts to meet production requirements and avoid stoppages.
- Execute the Order Management processes. Validate MRP demand vs. supply data is correct and perform reconciliation if needed.
- Identify and manage new parts and BOMs. Purchase New Material as needed.
- Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and perform corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of professional experience within Purchasing, Production, and Inventory Management.
- Demonstrated experience with contracts, purchasing, and inventory management of technical materials – electrical components, PCBA’s, Harnesses, Machined Parts.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- MRP System experience - SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive process improvement.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives.
- Advanced knowledge of Production Control Management.
- Demand Planning Experience.
- Supplier Payment/Invoice accounting experience.
- Interfacing with 3PL providers.
- Vendor/supplier negotiation experience.
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred.
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated.
