Research Associate III, Pathobiology

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pathobiology Scientist to support research and drug development programs in a collaborative laboratory environment. This role will focus on tissue-based assays, histology, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) to support target identification, validation, and therapeutic development across a variety of disease areas.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IHC method development, tissue processing, biomarker analysis, and assay optimization. This individual will work closely with cross-functional research teams to generate high-quality data that supports scientific decision-making and advances research programs.

This individual will work closely with cross-functional research teams to generate high-quality data that supports scientific decision-making and advances research programs.

• Develop, optimize, validate, and troubleshoot immunohistochemistry (IHC) assays.
• Support tissue-based research studies through tissue preparation, staining, imaging, and analysis.
• Validate antibody reagents and implement improvements to laboratory workflows and histological techniques.
• Design and execute experiments independently while maintaining accurate documentation and data records.
• Collaborate with internal and external research partners to support target identification and validation efforts.
• Present scientific findings and recommendations to project teams and leadership.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies and methodologies that improve research efficiency and data quality.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established timelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Pathology, Life Sciences, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant industry experience; OR
• Master's degree in a related scientific discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with immunohistochemistry (IHC), including assay development and optimization.
• Experience with tissue handling, tissue preparation, staining techniques, and digital image acquisition.
• Background supporting drug discovery, translational research, or target validation activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and scientific data management.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within highly collaborative, cross-functional teams.

• Experience with multiplex IHC assays.
• Knowledge of oncology, inflammation, fibrosis, virology, or related therapeutic areas.
• Experience implementing new laboratory technologies, processes, or methodologies.
