Hire Art is helping our client find a Security Special Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of security operations for special events, executive engagements, and high-visibility company activities.

In this role, you’ll own end-to-end event security planning and delivery, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and external security providers to ensure safe, well-coordinated, and professionally executed events. You’ll also support broader security operations through documentation, readiness planning, and operational coordination.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, operationally focused, and experienced in special events security and security operations within fast-paced, high-visibility environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead security planning, coordination, and execution for special events, executive engagements, and high-profile activities.
  • Conduct security assessments and develop operational plans covering staffing models, access control, credentialing, guest management, and incident response.
  • Coordinate with internal partners on logistics, including transportation, parking, check-in processes, and guest flow.
  • Serve as the primary security point of contact for event stakeholders before, during, and after events.
  • Develop and maintain standardized event security playbooks, templates, and operating procedures.
  • Support day-to-day coordination activities for the Security Operations team.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining security operations documentation, procedures, and playbooks.
  • Support operational planning, readiness activities, and cross-team coordination.
  • Provide planning and coordination support to the Executive Protection program as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and security partners to ensure consistent operational execution.
  • Coordinate daily operational activities with security service providers to ensure alignment with security objectives.
  • Support quality assurance through documentation, reporting, and feedback loops.
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and operational alignment for security partners supporting events and operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and organization across security operations tools and platforms.
  • Support scheduling, calendar coordination, communications, and operational logistics.
  • Maintain detailed records for events, operations, and security program activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, emergency management, event management, business administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in special events security, security operations, or corporate event management, including support of high-visibility or executive engagements
  • Experience planning and executing special event security operations
  • Experience supporting security operations programs or large-scale operational environments
  • Strong background in documentation, SOP development, and operational process design
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functionally and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Solid understanding of security operations best practices and standards
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and operational discipline
Bonus Qualifications
  • Direct experience supporting executive protection operations or senior executive engagements
  • Experience developing or managing performance metrics, reporting frameworks, or operational dashboards
  • Prior ownership of security operations within a corporate or enterprise environment
  • Experience coordinating with external security service providers
  • Experience leading security planning for large-scale, high-risk, or globally visible events

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art. This role is onsite and available to candidates local to the Foster City, CA area.
