Location: Hybrid (Foster City, CA) – Minimum 3 days onsite per week
About the OpportunityOur client, a leader in the autonomous vehicle technology space, is looking for a skilled Autonomy Systems Test Engineer to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves accelerating product development by helping developers build the safest and most reliable autonomous driving software possible. This is a high-impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running, manage complex testing scenarios, and drive quality standards to ensure a safe and stable vehicle platform.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables- Creating and executing test strategies and test plans for complex self‑driving behavior features.
- Designing, developing, and executing synthetic and log‑based test scenarios within an in-house simulation test framework.
- Identifying, tracking, and resolving planning or implementation issues in collaboration with cross‑functional software development teams.
- Prototyping and validating new testing methodologies for driving software features using automated metrics.
- Compiling triage strategies and analyzing test results from various QA validation platforms and pipelines.
- Leading cross‑functional QA participation in testing pipelines, initiatives, and enablement projects.
- 0-2 years of experience designing and implementing scalable software systems test strategies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with automated test frameworks and scripting languages such as Python.
- Experience utilizing JIRA, GIT, and Linux command-line environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to communicate complex findings to stakeholders.
- Relevant industry experience in software and systems testing for robotics, autonomous mobility, or safety-critical systems is a plus.
- W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
