Hire Art is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Release Coordinator to oversee the software release process and help accelerate product development by coordinating recurring software releases focused on delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality autonomous driving systems.
In this role, you’ll coordinate cross-functional release activities by tracking release content, supporting testing strategies, monitoring system performance, and escalating issues identified during vehicle and offline testing. You'll help improve release quality, accelerate delivery, and support the functional and safety readiness of autonomous driving systems.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-oriented, and technically curious, with strong communication skills and a passion for improving release quality through automation and continuous process improvement.
As a Release Coordinator, You'll- Partner with Development, QA, and Vehicle Operations teams to coordinate software releases, track progress, and deliver against release milestones.
- Monitor test results, identify release blockers, and coordinate issue resolution across cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate and improve release and change management processes to increase efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Automate manual release activities and operational workflows using scripting, programming, or AI-assisted tools.
- Coordinate release planning, scope changes, release reviews, stakeholder communications, and escalations in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs).
- 0-2 years of experience supporting software development, release management, or large, complex technical products.
- Experience with Git, version control systems, and Linux or command-line environments.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and project coordination skills.
- Understanding of release readiness criteria and software deployment processes.
- Experience improving or automating manual workflows using Python or another programming language, with the ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity.
- Experience with continuous integration (CI) build systems and release failure triage.
- Experience leading or contributing to process improvement or automation initiatives.
- Broad understanding of software development concepts, including build systems, compilation processes, and multi-platform development environments.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages and experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, Git Hub Copilot, or ChatGPT.

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days per week onsite and is available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
