Project Manager Engineer
A well-established public wastewater utility in the Greater Phoenix market is seeking a Project Manager Engineer to lead and administer critical system, facility, and infrastructure improvement projects across its collection system, treatment plants, and reclaimed water infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who thrives in a client-facing project leadership environment and wants direct ownership of impactful public infrastructure work.

Role Highlights
- Lead project delivery from planning and design through construction and close-out
- Manage design consultants and construction contractors throughout project phases
- Oversee contract administration, scope development, and deliverable quality
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, public stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams
- Conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Support capital planning, budgets, schedules, and project documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Sanitary, or related Engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required within 12 months of hire
- 5+ years of experience managing infrastructure design and construction projects, preferably in wastewater, sanitary, or public utility markets
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and public sector project delivery
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, consultants, and stakeholders
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
