Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a company here in the upstate!

This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with detailed documentation, and confident using Excel to maintain accurate records. The role requires strong attention to detail, solid basic math skills, and the ability to manage onsite responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Update and organize Excel spreadsheets to reflect operational and financial information with precision.

- Prepare, review, and manage high volumes of documentation related to facility transactions and accounting activities.

- Perform routine calculations to verify quantities, charges, totals, and other financial data.

- Enter data into tracking logs and accounting records while checking for accuracy and completeness.

- Work closely with onsite team members to ensure records align with daily facility operations.

- Assist with general clerical and accounting support tasks as needed during the assignment

Onsite 40 hours per week

Requirements

- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk, billing, data entry, or similar administrative support role.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including regular use of spreadsheets for tracking and record maintenance.

- Experience handling billing updates, financial data entry, or transaction-related documentation.

- Ability to perform basic calculations accurately and identify discrepancies in numeric data.

- Effective communication skills and the ability to support a fast-moving operational environment.
